Dog friendly

🐾 Granary Cottage welcomes well behaved, house trained dogs and their responsible owners.
Please let me know that you are bringing a dog(s) with you at the time of your booking.
As a dog mum to a growing number of working cocker spaniels it is really important that I try to offer a home from home environment for your dog(s) to enjoy and balance this with the needs of future guests who aren’t so dog focused. With this in mind I politely request that your dog(s) are kept downstairs at all times and especially out of the bedrooms for the comfort of future guests and those who may suffer from allergies. There is a stair gate at the bottom of the stairs to help restrict their access upstairs.
Dogs are allowed on the downstairs furniture but please use the blankets and throws to help protect the furniture.
The front and rear gardens are both secure areas with fencing and gates with the rear garden area mostly laid to lawn with a small patio area. The garden fences are approximately one metre high.
There is a bottle of pet carpet cleaner and liquid floor cleaner under the sink and a mop and bucket in the cupboard under the stairs for any accidents. In the kitchen you will find a large wicker basket of dog towels for soggy doggies along with a number of throws for the lounge furniture. Please report any damage or doggy accidents immediately so repairs / cleaning can be addressed as soon as possible.
No matter how well behaved your dog is please do not leave them unattended inside the cottage or the communal areas at any time. Please pick up all dog mess and dispose of it correctly if your dog fouls within the communal grounds of the Steadings.
I do not charge an extra fee for dogs.
