Granary Cottage Details

On arrival guests will find a warm and cosy cottage complete with a log burning stove in the lounge. For your comfort the cottage also has oil fired central heating and is double glazed throughout.   Two designated private parking spaces are available to use with the cottage and are located within the surroundings of the Steadings.  The cottage is primarily a dog friendly property with an enclosed rear garden for them to enjoy.

Granary Cottage is strictly a no smoking property and the use of candles is strictly prohibited.

On the first floor are two large bedrooms, the master bedroom has a double bed and the other room offers two single beds. All beds are dressed with brushed cotton bedding along with large luxury throws for comfort.  The house bathroom is also located on the first floor and provides an easy access walk-in shower. Bath sheets and towels are provided for all guests for the duration of your stay. Towels to help dry off your dog after a day out on the hills are also supplied for your convenience.

The fitted kitchen and dining room are both well equipped for any length of stay and includes a dishwasher and washing machine. A cloakroom is also located just off of the large entrance hall / boot room. A large smart TV and Wifi are available for the guests to use.

To the rear of the property is an enclosed garden with a patio area complete with table and chairs.  This provides the ideal area to sit and relax after a day exploring Rannoch and enjoying the late evening summer sun.

Given the remoteness of Granary Cottage it is advisable to pack wisely for your stay and to have enough fuel for your visit  (nearest petrol station is in Blair Atholl approximately 25 miles away but provides a 24/7 service).  Asda and Morrison’s both offer a home delivery service and this can be delivered to the cottage and unpacked by the host ready for your arrival.  A welcome pack is provided along with a number of other sundry kitchen / household items and a full itinerary of what is provided is available upon request.  If you don’t fancy cooking on the day of your arrival an easy ‘warm up’ meal can be provided by the host or you can book for dinner at either The Bridge of Gaur Guest House (within walking distance) or the Moor of Rannoch Hotel which is located at Rannoch Station. Both establishments accept non residents for dinner but prior booking is essential.
